Originally designed for the E92 335i, these scoops will fit all other 6 cyl petrol E90/92 models,and the M3 with little or no modification.
Your 335 i ' s main source of air is a 2.5" opening behind the front center grill. The problem is that the openings are sideways. Head on airflow will find its way to the radiator and oil cooler while the engine tries to pull in its share of air that is passing by.
Our ram air scoops capture and channels air directly into the factory intake ducting. This encourages pressurization of the intake boxes with cool and dense air. Our complete system has a proven advantage in that the source of air is completely from the outside. Induction type systems suffer from extreme under hood temperatures which results in a loss of power. Heat shielding around induction filters are only good for blocking radiant heat but does not seal the intake filters off from under hood heat.
